What is career coaching?

Career Coaching assists you in understanding what you want, the skills you need and how you can develop. Career coaching assists to establish your strengths, professional goals and career trajectory and identify what support you will require through decision making, and give you the time and space to talk about how you’re feeling, and provide you with the understanding of what your goals are.

Typically people come to a career coach when there’s no sign of a promotion or advancement in your career or if you are curious to know you are on the right career path, when you’re considering leaving your current position and looking for new opportunities within a different industry, you’re bored, frustrated, unfulfilled and not happy in your current role, you need to bounce ideas off a neutral third-party, you need your confidence boosted, you’ve applied for multiple jobs without success, you’ve come to a crossroads in your life and are unsure of which way to go or you’re currently unemployed and are struggling with your job search.

A career coach provides an unbiased, objective feedback tailored to their clients career search and goals and assists them to define, redefine, and achieve their professional objectives and other work related goals. A career coach assist their clients in getting to know their skills and aptitude as an employee and then go from there in helping them achieve their goals.

They provide a fresh perspective, as well as access to various tools and techniques designed to assist clients take stock and achieve their goals and be someone to bounce new ideas off of and share with clients the methodology and mindset they need to create intelligent professional choices and discover the possibilities they currently have available to them and what they want from life.

They create a space for clients if they feel like their career has plateaued and explore the necessary skills and mindset to move up in the company, they don’t spend time on what doesn’t work and look at where clients want to go and figure out ways to assist them to get where they want to be.
